Message From CINGHS Principal

Hello Raptor Families,

We sincerely hope your family has been well and everyone has had a nice and relaxing summer. It is hard to believe that our Fall Trimester and the start of school is just around the corner. I wanted to share some school details to help you plan and be ready for in person learning.

First and foremost,  we are so excited to be back in person with all of our students and are looking forward to getting to know and reacquaint with all of our Raptor families.  Here is a link to our District Calendar that will highlight important dates for you throughout the year. In addition here is a link to our Cedars International Next Generation High School , CINGHS website that has other important information. We will be updating the CINGHS website regularly so you will want to keep checking it from time to time for the latest information. For incoming families, I want you to know what a special high caliber school you are joining. We are very proud of our Raptor family atmosphere where we take pride in our school culture, student agency, and our high level of academics. We like to say we are "college now" instead of college ready as we have many students graduating with college hours above and beyond what most schools offer and Cedars International Academy covers the cost of courses and books saving the students time and the parents money! Our graduating classes have had a 100% graduation rate and the 2021 graduating class of 32 last year was no different. We had a 100% graduation rate with 28 students accepted into colleges and universities, 2 students accepted into the military and 2 students accepted into Capital Idea for trade schools. Our students have out performed the State on our End of Course Exams (STAAR) and we have consistently closed the academic achievement gap of our students.

To ensure you receive the latest information and updates we need your help. Please keep your contact information, emails, phone, and addresses up to date as this will be our main mode of communication. All school information, updates, report cards, progress reports will be delivered through email and our website. In addition, our school office phone number is 5129564406 if you need to contact the campus.

We are asking each family to provide the $40 per student Project Materials fee as soon as possible to ensure we are able to obtain materials for all students in their PBL projects. This $40 fee can be paid directly to the school where we will provide you with a receipt or for returning families online in my school bucks account.

As we move into Stage 4 and beyond the COVID pandemic continues to disrupt normalcy in our lives and CINGHS and CIA we will remain flexible and proactive to ensure the safety of everyone. We will follow some strict protocols to ensure we are keeping everyone safe and proactively participating in the the solution to reduce the spread of COVID instead of succumbing to social pressures and  additional safety protocols becoming part of the problem. While we cannot mandate vaccines and masks at this time we promote vaccines and the wearing of masks as part of our culture of safety and will follow and adhere to these essential protocols.

Essential Protocols
1) All students, families, and visitors entering building will need to take the Luminare Health Screening prior to coming on campus.

2) All individuals will have their temperature checked as they enter the building to ensure that no fever is detected.

If either of those protocols require the student to stay home or go home we will have written protocols for you to follow for their return to ensure the student is not penalized.
