Over the weekend we had a great experience at the Centex 13 Inaugural ESports tournament. Our students competed exclusively in Smash and we made a name for ourselves. This tournament was like a crucible that allowed competitors to roll a season's worth of matches into one day. There were a large number of students and schools from as far away as Corpus Christi that made it out to this tournament.It was intense!!
While we didn't place in the Top 3, we were in the top 8%, which qualifies us for the state "In Person" championships May1-3rd at Baylor University.
Congratulations to Eli Suarez-Ruiz and Jorge Garcia for leading the way!
We have several other teams that are playing and working towards the state finals, so expect more good news to come!
