Principal’s Weekly Message

Dear Cedars International Next Generation High School Families,

We have important updates and exciting events happening, and we want to keep you informed and engaged!

Supporting Our Families and Ensuring a Safe School Environment

At Cedars International Academy, the safety, well-being, and rights of all students remain our highest priority. We understand that families may have concerns, and we want to assure you that we are committed to providing a secure and supportive learning environment.

A letter will be sent to families with more details on our policies and procedures, including how we protect students on campus. Families will receive this letter from our Superintendent, Dr. Leslie Sparacello. Please know that we stand with our community and are here to support you.

New Enrollment Recruitment – Help Us Grow!

Enrollment is now open for new students to join our amazing school family! We are looking for future innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers who will thrive in our engaging and student-centered learning environment.

You can help spread the word about all the great things happening at CINGHS! If you know families looking for a supportive, creative, and forward-thinking school, invite them to visit our campus, attend an event, or reach out for more information. Your referrals help grow our school community!

Spotlight on Students Week – February 10-14

We are excited to invite you to Spotlight on Students Week, happening February 10-14! This special event is an opportunity for families and the community to see the incredible work our students have been doing.

Throughout the week, students will present their projects across various subjects, showcasing their learning, creativity, and hard work. A detailed schedule of presentations will be shared the week before the event so you can plan to watch your student—and others—present during the school day.

We encourage you to invite a friend or family member to join you! This is a fantastic opportunity to see our campus in action and help us grow our student enrollment.

House Olympics – February 21 (Volunteers Needed!)

We are wrapping up the week with an exciting House Olympics event on Friday, February 21! This is a great opportunity for students to build teamwork, school spirit, and friendly competition.

We are looking for parent volunteers to help make this event a success! If you’re interested in assisting with activities, supervising stations, or cheering on our students, please reach out to the school office. Your support makes a huge difference!

Makeup School Day – February 17

Due to the instructional time lost to bad weather, Monday, February 17 will now be a regular school day. Please ensure your student attends, as every day of learning is important!

Final Exams – February 18-20 (Early Release Days)

Final exams will take place on February 18, 19, and 20. These will be early release days, so please plan accordingly. We encourage students to review their materials and prepare for a successful end to the term.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at Spotlight on Students Week and House Olympics!

Warm regards,
Steven Zipkes
