Two free presentations (one in English, one in Spanish) providing information about TASFA and FAFSA will be held on November 28 at Cedars International High School from 6:15pm - 7:15pm
If you're unfamiliar with TASFA or FAFSA, they are two key applications for college financial aid:
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid): Is for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and certain noncitizens. It helps you get federal, state, and institutional aid. You can fill it out online or use a PDF form.
TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid): If you're a Texas resident who can't use FAFSA, this is for you. It's for state and institutional aid. Just download the PDF form and mail it to the colleges you're applying to.
Key Differences: TASFA is just for certain Texas residents and covers state and institutional aid. FAFSA is for a wider group and includes federal aid too.
Both applications are free, easy to fill out, and crucial for funding your education. They open doors to scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans, making college more affordable.
Don't miss out on this free presentation!
